Time to “IGNITE EUGENE”

//

If you are a small business owner you are probably already aware of Smart-Ups. If you are an up and coming entrepreneur you need to participate in Smart-Ups events. On March 31st every current and future business owner should be attending the Smart-Ups “Ignite Eugene” event.  EDN will be there.

An Ignite-style business plan competition consists of 13 slides, automatically advanced every 15 seconds giving each presenter 3.5 minutes to pitch their business plan. It’s an exciting competition. Attendees will then vote for the company they think has the most viable business plan and the company they think delivered the best overall pitch. The winner will be guaranteed a spot to deliver a “wildcard” pitch at the Willamette Angel Conference on May 12th in Corvallis.

These events aren’t just a great way to see the up-and-comers in our community, but an opportunity to network with other like-minded entrepreneurs and business owners.

Ignite Eugene is being held at Mookie’s Northwest Grill, 400 International Way, Springfield [MAP] from 5 – 8pm.

Tickets are $25 at the door; $15 for Eugene and Corvallis Chamber members; $10 for students (INCLUDES FOOD AND BEV).

Note:  Ignite Eugene is a business-plan pitch competition sponsored by Smart-ups and is not affiliated with the worldwide network of O’Rielly Ignite community events.
