JEFFREY MARTIN
FOLK – AMERICANA
Mc G Entertainment

Touted as a “rising star” in the Folk/American genre Martin, has only been playing guitar for about 6 years now and sounds a lot like a cross between Sean Mullins and John Mayer.
The naked emotion captured in his songs accompanied only by the six-strings he plays puts the listener between this man’s ears and heart. Hearing his songs is a lot like getting a musically guided tour inside the thoughts of a man who is trying to make sense out of the world around him
“I like to write about what I don’t quite understand in life because I feel like once it’s on the page, in a song, it’s as close as I’ll ever get to making sense of it. ” Martin says.
This is evidenced in songs such as “Why Do I?” “Lady Nostalgia” and “Wake Up.” Vocally soft and subtle with a guitar accompaniment; Martin’s songs are easy to listen to and linger over.
Recently added to this year’s line up at the Sister’s Folk Festival in September Martin will be in the company of such talented musicians as Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Dave Alvin, and Portland’s own Tony Furtado.
