Tim Chuey Weather:

We haven’t seen much rain so far this week, but that will change as the week progresses.

High: 63
Low: 40
Rain: 50%

high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape on the yellow line ) gave us just a slight chance of sprinkles Saturday and Easter Sunday. The ridge will be replaced by a low pressure area (“U” shape on the yellow line) which will increase the chance of rain for the rest of the week. A frontal system will be moving through Oregon. Yet another frontal system (position shown is Thursday)  will approach the coast and push through more rain..

Forecast for the Southern and lower Mid Willamette Valley including Eugene-Springfield and Albany-Corvallis: Mostly cloudy with some sun breaks and a slight (20%) chance of AM showers today, a good (50%) chance of afternoon showers (under 0.10 in. of rain possible), a good (50%) chance of showers (0.10 in. of rain possible) tonight through Thursday night highs 63-56 lows 45-38. Mostly cloudy with a good (50%) chance of showers Friday, a (40%) chance of showers Friday night, a mix of clouds and sun with a (30%) chance of showers Saturday, partly cloudy Saturday night through Sunday night, then a mix of clouds and sun Monday highs 56-63 lows near 40. (seasonal averages high 60 low 39)

Because weather forecasting is a combination of science, intuition, and timing there can be no absolute guarantees that individual forecasts will be 100% accurate. Nature is in a constant state of flux and sudden unexpected weather events can happen.
