Osteria Sfizio re-opens as Ox & Fin at Oakway Center
Osteria Sfizio, the fine-dining restaurant at Oakway Center, officially closed on July 21 to retrain and remodel for a new branding. The location re-opened for business on July 26 as the Ox & Fin.
“Chef Andrew Stone has created a menu that is sure to please those who desire a lighter fare as well as those who want a more filling, richer meal,” said Rick Montoya, who, along with local businessman Curtis Large, owns Ox & Fin.
“Ox & Fin is a restaurant for everyone who enjoys steaks, chops, seafood, and excellent side dishes, as well as some of the most popular Italian dishes from our previous restaurant, Osteria Sfizio.”
Osteria Sfizio opened two years ago at the same location. After Montoya and Large parted ways with Sfizio’s chef-founder Rocky Maselli, they looked to rebrand the restaurant.
The new restaurant will feature some key changes:
Ox & Fin’s lunch menu is set for people on the go, featuring salads and sandwiches, as well as traditional entrees and sides.
Prices will be lower, with most dinner entrees in the $17 to $25 range.
There will also be a “happy hour,” though the owners prefer to refer to it as “the small plate menu.” The small plate menu features items from Ox & Fin’s dinner menu from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Small plates will be offered in the $7-8 price range.
“We believe that Ox & Fin has captured the freshness and spirit of Northwest cuisine,” Montoya said. “We look forward to offering [our guests] an experience like no other.”
