Child Taken from DHS Custody
This morning, the Eugene Police Department (EPD) received a call from the Department of Human Services (DHS) after the father of a child left the Eugene DHS with the child. As the child is a ward of the state, the father does not have custody.
Police believe the father, Angelo Muniz, has or is trying leave the state. In addition to the child, he may be travelling with an adult female. The EPD has given the following description of Muniz and the adult female:
“He is Angelo Muniz, age 47, from Lebanon, Oregon. He is described as an Hispanic male, 5’7”, 195 pounds, black hair, brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark shirt and jeans. The adult female is described as Hispanic, 5’7”, heavy build, short black hair and brown eyes, unknown clothing.”
The female child, named Perfection Angelas, is 1 and 1/2 years old. She is described by the EPD as,
“Light skinned with light brown hair, 2’2”, 27 pounds, last seen wearing a white shirt with a kitty on the front, pink bloomed pants, yellow socks and white shoes.”
Muniz is thought be driving a 1991 blue-grey, Mazda B2600 pickup with the following license plate number: 205BPV.
