46 runners competed in this year’s race with 30 males and 16 female competitors. Joshua Gordan took first place with a time of 17:19 (5:35). Paige Nelson finished in first for female competitors with a time of 21:03 (6:64). What’s so remarkable is the fact that she competed in the 14 year old younger age group. The average time for runners was 26:13 in this race.
This 5k race is a much more lax and fun run than the Cantrall Classic. There were 199 competitors with an average time of 36:29. Graig Godwin finished first among the men with a time of 16:26 (5:18). Lori Carter took first place for the females, representing the 20-24 age range with a time of 20:09 (6:30). Many chose to walk this race instead of run it.
The Northwest Cross-country Classic is a huge event for all competitors from the high school to the collegiate level. The race include participants from the 1A-6A levels. Both men and women competed.
Participants from around the country flocked to Corvallis for the 34th annual Corvallis Fall Festival Run. There were two separate races, a 5k and 10k race. The top two competitors in the 10k race were Brittani Crompton and Kara Crompton who both ran a time of 29:25 (4:44). The mother and daughter combo were an entertaining and electrifying tandem.
As you can probably tell from the race title, this 5k is represented by the Eugene Hearing and Speech Center. The walk/run featured 107 competitors with an average time of 46:18. Many just walked the course for the exercise, and did not seriously compete. Michael Johnson won the race with a time of 19:07 (6:10).
