Keep Current: – EDN Headline News, Sports and Weather
Tim Chuey Weather:
I’m looking for some sun peeks today if our clouds with fog and freezing fog clear out enough.
Cold high pressure (shaded “Arch” shape) is moving through the the Pacific Northwest. That ridge aloft along with high pressure (Blue “H” off the coast) at the surface will keep storm systems away from the Pacific Northwest for the near future. Watch out for slippery roadways late night and early AM due to fog freezing on the surface of the road. The first frontal system in quite some time will be moving into the Pacific Northwest next Wednesday bringing the chance for rain.
Forecast: Cloudy with areas of fog and freezing fog this AM, mostly cloudy with possible sun peeks in the afternoon, cloudy with areas of fog and freezing fog late Thursday night and Friday AM, a mix of clouds and sun Friday afternoon, partly cloudy in the evening, mostly cloudy with fog and freezing fog late Friday night and Saturday AM, mostly cloudy in the afternoon, then partly cloudy Saturday night highs 38-44 lows 32-29 warming to 35 Saturday night. Partly cloudy Sunday through Monday (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day), then partly cloudy Monday night through Wednesday highs 48-52 cooling to 46 Wednesday lows 32-35. (seasonal averages high 47 low 34)

Because weather forecasting is a combination of science, intuition, and timing there can be no absolute guarantees that individual forecasts will be 100% accurate. Nature is in a constant state of flux and sudden unexpected weather events can happen.
