An upper level high pressure ridge (the shaded “Arch” shape) is flattening (weakening)  allowing a frontal system to move through returning the rain chances. Low pressure (shaded “U” shape) in the Gulf of Alaska takes over sending another storm our way. Surface high pressure (Blue “H” offshore) will give us a bright and dry weekend, the first part anyway.
