#34 – Lane Roseberry

in By The Numbers/Firehose/Headline Feed/Rotator/Sports by

Oregon Ducks running back Lane Roseberry, a redshirt freshman from Lakeview High School (Bly, Oregon), enters his second season in the Oregon program.

Before joining the Ducks, Roseberry lettered three seasons of varsity football. The OSAA 3A star was an all-state selection twice, seeing action at linebacker, tight end, wide receiver, running back and fullback. Roseberry had some incredible moments as a prep star, even recording 33 tackles in one game. Along with his action on the gridiron, Roseberry also was a successful basketball, baseball and track star. He lettered three seasons of basketball and two in baseball and track.

Roseberry received attention from several northwest programs before Roseberry enrolled into the program early to participate in offseason workouts.

In 2012, Roseberry sat out the season while redshirting. He was an active member of the scout team.

In the 2013 Spring Game, Roseberry had the third-most carries rushing the ball seven times for 31 yards (4.4 YPC) and a touchdown.

Going into the 2013 season, Roseberry doesn’t figure to see the field all that often. The Ducks have a loaded depth chart featuring Byron Marshall, De’Anthony Thomas and incoming freshman Thomas Tyner.

Roseberry’s best chance at seeing the field will be in two seasons when Thomas and possibly Marshall as well have left the program. Until then Roseberry can continue to help out with scout team duties and can work to earn a scholarship.
