in By The Numbers/Firehose/Headline Feed/Rotator/Sports by

Oregon wide receiver Blake Stanton, a redshirt junior from Crespi High School (Los Angeles, California), enters his fourth season in the Oregon program.

Before joining the Ducks, Stanton was an All-State receiver and varsity basketball player. In football he recorded 659 receiving yards and averaged 2.4 tackles per game as a junior and 33 receptions for 420 yards, six touchdowns and 4.9 tackles per game as a senior. He played as a wide receiver and defensive backs while receiving a two-star rating by Scout. In basketball he guided Crespi to the CIF Championship as a senior.

In 2010, Stanton spent the season as a redshirt while participating on the scout team.

In 2011, Stanton appeared in four games for the Ducks including his collegiate debut against the Nevada Wolfpack. He did not record any statistics.

In 2012, Stanton appeared in nine games as a wide receiver. He finished the year with one carry for eight yards and four catches for 19 yards.

After the season, Stanton saw extensive action for the white team in the 2013 Spring Game. Stanton finished third on the team with five catches for 73 yards and a touchdown.

Going into the 2013 season, Stanton will battle for reserve playing time at wide receiver. He won’t likely make the two-deep, but could see late game action in at least 10 games this season. 2014 will be Stanton’s best chance to make the two-deep.
