At some point in our lives we have all had that moment when we realize we would like to be giving back to our community more than our daily lives allow. Some of us are natural-born philanthropists, but some of us need a little coaxing into performing random acts of kindness that will benefit someone whom we have not met.

On Saturday, August 17, in downtown Eugene, Dishcrawl is making it easy to give back while simultaneously supporting a non-profit.  The afternoon celebration known as “Neighborfood” is a perfect way to give back.  All you need to do is eat a few tasty dishes provided by eight participating restaurants downtown.  That’s it!  Dishcrawl will be donating a portion of the proceeds to local non-profit, Womenspace, Inc.  Womenspace, Inc., has the mission to prevent domestic violence in intimate partner relationships in Lane County and is always in need of assistance. Dishcrawl is here to help.

The participating restaurants are Tokoyo Tonkatsu, Red Wagon Creamery, The Davis Restaurant, Bon Mi, Belly, Off the Waffle, Sammitch and Larry’s Cupcake Cafe.  Each location will be serving up good eats, with drink specials to be offered at some.

The celebration will run from 2pm to 6pm on Saturday, August 17th.  For ticketing information and more about the restaurants, visit Dishcrawl’s Eugene homepage at www.dishcrawl.com/eugene
