The Oregon Ducks football team did everything it needed to do en route to a blowout 66-3 victory over the Nicholls State Colonels. It was a day of records with three Ducks tallying 100+ yards on the ground and 500 yards as a team.

The film follows cousins Vincent (Jesse Eisenberg) and Anton (Alexander Skarsgard) as they plot to run a line of fiber-optic cable underground from Kansas to New Jersey in order to gain an edge in high-frequency trading. The plot of this movie is so random and preposterous, I half-expected it to be based on a true story (It isn't). ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’ Trailer

The first trailer for John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum has been released. Keanu Reeves returns in the titular role as Wick, a legendary assassin with a particular set of skills. Chapter 3 picks up right after 2 ended with Wick breaking house rules and killing a man on Continental grounds. Now he's on his own against thousands of fellow assassins. Reeves doesn't get the same amount of credit as Tom Cruise does for doing his own stunts. He's a committed actor who works his ass off to entertain an audience. The action looks incredible and adding Halle Berry to the franchise is never a bad thing. John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum opens May 17.No Current Trailer

‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ Trailer

Sony has released the first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home. The film follows Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and his friends heading to Europe for a school trip. But when mysterious elemental forces start destroying everything, he's forced to put the suit on outside of his friendly neighborhood. This looks like a fun sequel to Homecoming. I'm a little worried that the villains are just CGI monsters, but with Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) in the mix, we can't really believe he's on Peter's side, can we? Nevertheless, Far From Home looks like another win for the Sony/Marvel collaboration of this character. Spider-Man: Far From Home opens July 5.No Current Trailer

‘Little Woods’ Trailer

The first trailer for Little Woods has been released. Tessa Thompson and Lily James star as sisters struggling to get by in North Dakota. When Deb (James) gets into trouble, Ollie (Thompson) is forced back into the world of drug dealing. Thompson and James are tremendous young actors and this looks like worthy material for their talent. ‘Velvet Buzzsaw’ Trailer

Netflix has released the first trailer for Velvet Buzzsaw. Jake Gyllenhaal and Rene Russo reteam with writer/director Dan Gilroy (Nightcrawler) in this thriller set in the contemporary art scene. This looks really unique. There's humor, satire about the pretentious world of art and social media and even horror elements. Nightcrawler was an impressive debut for Gilroy and this looks like an interesting companion piece. Velvet Buzzsaw will be released on Netflix on February 1.No Current Trailer

The first trailer for Hotel Mumbai has been released. With Dev Patel starring, I kind of thought this was the third movie in some sort of "Hotel extended universe" following the two Best Exotic Marigold Hotel movies. I was wrong. This has absolutely nothing to do with those two films because this one is based on a true story. When terrorists attack the Taj Hotel, the staff risk their lives to keep their guests safe. Captain Marvel Trailer #3

Marvel has released a new trailer for Captain Marvel. Brie Larson stars in the titular role as the MCU's most powerful superhero. This is the best trailer so far because it finally shows some personality. The previous trailers were bland and Larson seemed uninterested in starring in a Marvel movie. But the banter between her and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) seems genuine and an acknowledgement that they're in a fun and goofy movie. Captain Marvel opens March 8.No Current Trailer

‘Polar’ Trailer

Netflix has released the first trailer for Polar. Mads Mikkelsen stars as a retired hitman looking for some peace and quiet. But when his former employers decide he's a liability, they try to kill him. It does not go well for them. The plot is similar to John Wick and while Mikkelsen isn't quite as physical as Keanu Reeves, he's very imposing and compelling as an actor. The tone teases a fun and funny action movie. ‘Men in Black: International’ Trailer

Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for Men in Black: International. Directed by F. Gary Gray (The Fate of the Furious) and starring Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson, the film follows the MIB investigating a mole within the agency that could topple them and the universe. Reuniting Hemsworth and Thompson after their great work in Thor: Ragnarok makes sense and I so want Thompson to be the next big movie star. But do we really need another MIB? Out of three movies so far, only one is any good or memorable. I can definitely see this film bombing when it hits theaters or somehow rejuvenating a franchise. There's no in-between. ‘Hellboy’ Trailer

Summit Entertainment has released the first trailer for Hellboy. Directed by Neil Marshall and starring David Harbour in the titular role, the film follows Hellboy and the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense as they fight a medieval British Sorceress (Milla Jovovich) who seeks to destroy mankind. This doesn't look all that dissimilar from Guillermo del Toro's Hellboy movies. Harbour looks and sounds like Ron Pearlman's iteration of the character, but besides the R rating this time, this just looks like a cheaper version of Hellboy. Who knows, a more violent version might inject the property with a little more excitement. Hellboy opens April 12, 2019.No Current Trailer

‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ Trailer #2

Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters. This is a sequel to the 2014 reboot and finds Godzilla fighting even more giant monsters to protect mankind. I was a fan of the 2014 film, but like many people, I felt that it didn't feature enough of what we paid to see; monsters fighting one another. This trailer clears up any doubts you might have to that happening again. This looks like a action-packed spectacle waiting to be seen on the big screen. ‘Triple Frontier’ Trailer

Netflix has released the first trailer for Triple Frontier. Starring Ben Affleck and Oscar Isaac, the film follows a group of former Special Forces operatives who team up to rob a major drug cartel. This is a great idea for an action movie and with J.C. Chandor (A Most Violent Year, All is Lost) behind the camera, expect something far more smarter than a standard shoot-em-up. ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Trailer

Marvel Studios has released the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame. Thanos succeeded in wiping out half the population with the snap of his fingers. Now the remaining Avengers (Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Thor, etc..) must pick up the pieces and find a way to defeat Thanos. Infinity War was a monumental achievement and Endgame looks like a compelling conclusion not only to the Avengers series, but the entire MCU as we know it. ‘Captain Marvel’ Trailer #2

Marvel has released a new trailer for Captain Marvel. Set in the '90s, the movie follows Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), a pilot with superhuman abilities who gets caught up in a war between two alien species. Like the first trailer, I'm getting Green Lantern vibes which isn't a great sign. This trailer is kind of an exposition dump too laying out the good guys, the bad guys and where Danvers comes from. The visuals are impressive, but Larson just doesn't seem fully committed in these trailers. But this is just a trailer. I'll reserve judgement until I see the finished product.
