The Weather Pattern: An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) has taken control continuing the wet weather. It has slowly moved into the Pacific Northwest. The graphics for days 1-3 show the frontal system that moved through Sunday bringing rain and wind and the next system to hit us today and Wednesday. The graphics for days 3-7 show the next frontal system heading our way Sunday and another hitting the coast next Tuesday.

ADVISORIES
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TODAY UNTIL 8 PM WEDNESDAY ABOVE 5,500 FT. FOR THE NORTHERN OREGON CASCADES AND THE CASCADES IN LANE COUNTY. A WINTER STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM TONIGHT THROUGH 10 PM WEDNESDAY ABOVE 5,000 FT. FOR THE SOUTH CENTRAL OREGON CASCADES, THE SOUTHERN OREGON CASCADES, AND THE SISKIYOU MOUNTAINS. A HIGH WIND WARNING IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM UNTIL 10 PM TODAY FOR THE SOUTH CENTRAL OREGON COAST, THE CURRY COUNTY COAST, NORTHERN AND EASTERN KLAMATH COUNTY, AND WESTERN, CENTRAL, AND EASTERN LAKE COUNTY. A WINTER STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM TODAY UNTIL 10 PM WEDNESDAY FOR NORTHERN AND EASTERN KLAMATH COUNTY, AND WESTERN LAKE COUNTY. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT 10 PM TONIGHT UNTIL 10 PM WEDNESDAY FOR NORTHERN AND EASTERN KLAMATH COUNTY, AND WESTERN LAKE COUNTY. A PERMANENT HEALTH ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE SOUTH UMPQUA RIVER BAR. POOLS IN THE BEDROCK ALONG THE RIVERS EDGE ARE KNOWN TO DEVELOP BLUE-GREEN ALGAE (CYANOBACTERIAL) BLOOMS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL TO PETS AND PEOPLE IF ACCIDENTAL INGESTION OCCURS. SIGNS HAVE BEEN POSTED ALONG SEVERAL ACCESS AREAS ALONG THE RIVER.

  • Mostly cloudy with rain today (0.50 in. of rain possible) and tonight (0.75 in. of rain possible),
  • Mostly cloudy with rain (0.50 in. of rain possible), a bit cooler and breezy (Wind: S 15-25 mph decreasing to S 5-15 mph in the afternoon) Wednesday, showers Wednesday night (0.25 in. of rain possible),
  • Mostly cloudy with AM showers, showers and a bit cooler with a slight (20%) chance of thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening, then showers likely (70%) late Thursday night.
  • highs 49-44 lows 42-34.
  • Cloudy with a good (50%) chance of showers Friday, rain likely (70%) at night,
  • Mostly cloudy with rain likely (70%) and a bit warmer Saturday and Saturday night,
  • Then mostly cloudy and a bit warmer rain likely (70%) Sunday through Monday.
  • highs 44-50 cooling to 46 Monday lows 39-43. (seasonal averages high 48 low 35)
