Goodwill Involved in Worlds Biggest Garage Sale

Goodwill joining forces with Largest Indoor Garage Sale in the World

Did you hear the news? Goodwill Industries is joining forces with Cumulus Broadcasting to put on what is billed as the World’s Largest Indoor Garage Sale. It happens Saturday March 22nd at the Lane County Fairgrounds. Everyone will be there buying, selling and recycling their wares.

It’s only natural that an agency like Goodwill would help sponsor an event like this. Goodwill Industries is one of the original recyclers. Goodwill was recycling long before it was fashionable. When you donate or shop at Goodwill you are helping people in our community find work. For a long time I thought Goodwill focused on helping people with disabilities and it does provide much needed jobs and relationships for these outstanding members of our community. But they also help unemployed workers, college graduates and people like you and me find jobs.

Recently we produced a four-part video series on the top four reasons not to have a garage sale. The idea is to save yourself some time by simply donating your gently used items to Goodwill.
Here’s a link to the series.

Top Reasons Not to Have a Garage Sale.

And don’t forget the World’s Largest Indoor Garage Sale at the Lane County Fairgrounds on Saturday March 22nd from 9am-5pm.
