I had the pleasure of having coffee with one of Lane County’s young authors Katharine Bond this week. Sitting in a little corner cafe in Harrisburg, Oregon we talked about her first published book Violet Eyes (the first in the Abecedarian series) and the process it took to accomplish her goal.
Recently turning 20, I think of all the years she will have ahead of her to follow her passion. Working on her writings for two years, she credits her mother and family in their efforts to keep her “moving forward through such an incredible journey” and seeing Violet Eyes come to print.
“Maia was born with violet eyes, but never knew they had a special meaning. When she discovers magic within herself, the truth soon surfaces, and her life is changed forever”
Ms. Bond will be holding a book signing of her recently published book Violet Eyes at the Veneta, Oregon Library located at 88026 Territorial Rd. Veneta, Oregon this Saturday March 22 from 1:15 – 3:45. Her book Violet Eyes will be available for purchase at her book signing for $10.00 per copy. She is accepting cash and checks at this time.
Violet Eyes can also be purchased online at Amazon.com. I have included a link here for your convenience if you are unable to make it to the book signing.
