Oregon men’s basketball lands first recruit of 2015 class with four-star point guard Kendall Small

Dana Altman reeled in his first recruit of the 2015 class on Tuesday. Kendall Small, a four-star point guard from Mayfair High School in Lakewood, California announced via his personal Twitter account that he is committing to Oregon. The commitment comes on Small’s 17th birthday.

Small is rated the 62nd-best recruit in the 2015 class, according to 247sports. Small was also named to MaxPreps’ all-state first team. As a junior last year, Small averaged 21.1 points, 3.1 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 3.4 steals per game.

“I love Oregon,” Small told 247sports. “That’s where I want to go and I’m now just focused on getting better and helping recruit talent to Oregon.”

Small also told 247sports that he plans to visit Oregon sometime next fall and officially end his recruiting officially during that time.
