EUGENE, Ore. — The Eugene Pro Rodeo is switching out their horses for a different kind of ride.
Hundreds jumped on their motorcycles Saturday for a scene ride through Lane County. The Tough Enough to Wear Pink Motorcycle Poker Run raises money for breast cancer screening and diagnostic imaging through the Cascade Health Foundation.
It’s a 150 mile tour with prizes for anyone participating.
“I tell ya, for what they came up with for the track, it’s custom ordered. It’s beautiful roads. It’s custom ordered weather again,” says Carrie Headington, a participant.
Their goal is to quadruple last year’s totals and they’re already on track to do so. Last year, they raised $8,000. They’ve already raised $16,000 so far, with the goal of $32,000.
