Creswell Motel Evacuated to Arrest Disorderly Guest

On July 28, 2014 the Sheriff’s Office received a call of disorderly subject at the Super 8 Motel in Creswell. A guest in room 115 had become disorderly and destructive to motel property. He had threatened that he had explosives and barricaded himself in his room.

The guest was identified as William Cameron. Cameron has an extensive violent criminal history. Deputies evacuated the motel for other guest’s safety and initiated contact with Cameron. After approximately 10-12 minutes of speaking to Cameron though a loud hailer, he exited the motel room through the front window and surrendered without incident.

It was determined that Cameron was under the influence of Methamphetamine and a small amount of Methamphetamine was located in his room. Cameron’s room was heavily damaged. The damage included broken appliances, electrical fixtures and furniture.

Cameron was lodged at the Lane County Jail on the following charges:

Disorderly Conduct 1 / Criminal Mischief 1 / Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine
