Eugene Emeralds Drop Battle vs Vancouver

The Eugene Emeralds fell to Vancouver(again) on Thursday night and gave up more than ten hits for the third time in the five game series. The Ems had a battle on their hands in the 11-9 loss.

Eugene took an early lead for the sixteenth time this season. The top of the seventh saw eleven Ems come to the plate and score a total of six runs in the innings.Vancouver would strike back in the bottom of the frame with five runs of their own off five singles taking the series lead.

For the game the Eugene Emeralds gave up eleven runs and fifteen hits as the Pitching rotation continues to struggle this season and the offense, at times has been enough to earn a victory, but not of late. One area where the team seems to do better is at home, in the friendly confines of PK Park where they will return starting this weekend to begin a long home stand.

Eugene will wrap up the roadtrip this afternoon at 1:05pn and head home to PK Park for an eight game homestand starting tomorrow at 7:05pm. The Ems host Hillsboro for three games, followed by Tri-City.
