100 Holes of Golf in One Day

golfCRESWELL, Ore –  An upcoming golf tournament is giving new meaning to the word extreme. Could you play 100 holes in one day?

The 4th Annual Feynman Group Charity Golf Marathon is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 12, at the Emerald Valley Golf Resort in Creswell. It’s the only event of its kind in the area where golfers play from sunup to sundown and all proceeds benefit CASA of Lane County.

“It’s just better than any tournament you’ve done.  I mean, you get to play 100 holes in one day.  If you like playing golf and you like helping your community, there’s just not a better spot to do it,” said Mark Tschetter, COO of The Feynman Group.

Each player agrees to raise $1,000 to support Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). Prizes include a $1,000 shopping spree to Fiddler’s Green, golfing at four local courses, and a luxury suite at the Eugene Emeralds baseball stadium.

Last year, 34 players raised $45,000 for CASA.

“CASA of Lane County really affects our community. These are our kids.  It’s one of those charities.  There are a lot of ways to help, a lot of ways to donate.  This is one that goes right to the bottom line of your hometown, your community. We are helping kids become better people, and therefore, having a better community out of it, ” Tschetter said.
