Hi there everybody – its BJ!

Thanks for stopping by my little corner where every Friday I’m going to let you in on some ”where, when and what” is happening for the weekend.

For those who don’t know  me,  I’m a local photographer specializing in Rock bands and rodeos. This project started when EDN’s publisher(Kelly Asay) contacted me for a photo assignment up in Corvallis for some visiting  WWII bomber planes (he actually got me to fly on one with him) and here i am. More about me to come.

So here’s whats up:

This Friday (8/29) local favorites Cheap Truck will bring their zany brand of humor & fun to My Place Lounge in Dexter (38382 Dexter Rd). Duke, Jeff & Derek are the only hope we have left for world peace.

If you’re here in the Eugene Springfield area, here’s a couple shows you might see me at starting with the Mohawk Tavern in Springfield for some of their delicious fries and good music from the Eastman Band playing both Friday and Saturday nights. John Eastman has been a staple of good solid original rock since the 80s (I was just a toddler at the time). They’ve won various Battle of The Bands and always have a top notch music & light show.

But wait, you might get to see me rocking out on Saturday night with another great local band: Piksix. Piksix is playing at Happy Hours on River Road in Eugene. As their name suggests, they are heavy on the football vibe (GO DUCKS) but with Brandon Pinnell on drums and Jeremy Stafford fronting the band, you’re going to get a great party along with your football fever.

If country/rock is your bag, Most Wanted will be at The Embers. With both male & female lead vocals, their variety of the best in today’s country and classic rock is definitely one to keep an eye (and ear) on.

Whatever your destination is this weekend, have a safe & rockin’ time, and if you see me out there say hi and I’ll see you next time on BJ’S Weekend Report !!
