Hello…its me BJ

As most of you know this week once again we have lost a very talented musician and wonderful friend to that thing they call cancer Ron Clayborn (Monolith) has gone on to join Alex Gonzalez-Arguinzoni(Toyz)…I am not going to write about how sad it is or how he is now feeling no more pain. I am not going to try to tell you he’s in a better place or how much everyone loved him and  he touched so many lives(we all know that). All those have been said by people and family closer to Ron than I was.  I am just going to tell you that you will be missed Ron Clayborn and that you made your mark on a lot of hearts and you will always live on within them.

Here is a link for anyone wanting to help with the Clayborn family memorial expenses. .

“Trick or Treat?”

Remember as a kid how exciting Halloween day was? Going to school in costume parading in line through each classroom to show yours to everyone. Candy corn and carmel apples. How  reaching into a big bowl of spaghetti noodles and sauce in a dark room would spark the gruesome image of blood and guts? How about the smoking witches brew in the bubbly black cauldron?   After school it got even better …the anticipation  of what would  be lurking around every corner in the dark and knocking on every door and saying those words “Trick or Treat” and hope for the latter.

And now for my favorite Halloween story, I tell it every year:

A man is walking home alone late one foggy Halloween night, when behind him he hears:

Walking faster, he looks back and through the fog he makes out the image of an upright casket banging its way down the middle of the street toward him.

Terrified, the man begins to run toward his home, the casket bouncing quickly behind him.

He runs up to his door, fumbles with his keys, opens the door, rushes in, slams and locks the door behind him. However, the casket crashes through his door, with the lid of the casket clapping.

clappity-BUMP...clappity-BUMP… clappity-BUMP

on his heels, as the terrified man runs.

Rushing upstairs to the bathroom, he locks himself in. His heart is pounding; his head is reeling; his breath is coming in sobbing gasps.

With a loud CRASH the casket breaks down the door.

Bumping and clapping toward him.

The man screams and reaches for something, anything…

All he can find is a bottle of cough syrup! Desperate, he throws the bottle of cough syrup at the coffin

…the coffin stops!

You are welcome.
