Hello friends,

BJ here with your “Where, When and Whats Happening” for this weekend.

A few weeks ago I told you a little about the imminent Zombie Apocalypse that was going to happen in the area, well it’s headed your way starting in less than 24 hours.

This Saturday Rocktober 18th, keep watch over your shoulder and behind your back, “no one’s gonna save you from the beast about to strike”  Thrill the World Eugene flashmob Zombies are lurking in Eugene!

If you want to catch a glimpse of the Zombie dancers, there will be 6 performances around town starting at 10am at St. Vincents 201 Division.

11am Spirit Store 2075 River Rd.

Noon they will be flashmobbing the Delta Oaks Halloween city 1022 Green Acres (also Delta Oaks, Market of Choice and Goodwill)

1:45pm performance at downtown Saturday market (Free Speech plaza and Kesey Square.)

3:30pm Market of Choice W. Eugene, 67 w. 24th.

” Thrill The World is an international annual event where thousands of people dance simultaneously to Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’. This is Eugene’s third year participating in the global event; last year 213 people, dressed as zombies and danced in the final performance.” Which will happen this year on Oct. 25th at 3pm at Washington Jefferson park in Eugene.


“There’s no escapin’ the jaws of the alien this time.”

Speaking of aliens, theres another kind of invasion about to happen,  “ALIEN BOY ”  Yes you heard it right my friends, Alien Boy is landing right in the middle of Springfield! Catch them live at The Mohawk both Fri. the 17th and Sat. the 18th.  These Rocking and Rolling space guys: Kevin White; Guitar / Vocals – Mike Trathen; Bass / Guitar / Vocals – Roger McConnell; Guitar / Vocals – John Troute; Drums / Vocals are going to blast off the show at 9pm both nights. Get ready for a rockshow thats out of this world!

Live at Happy Hours this Friday Oct. 17th its Christi and McCallum(Americana) and Saturday the 18th its good ol’ classic rock with Berry Pomeroy band starting both nights at 8:30pm.

Mister Wizard will be rocking the Mill Casino’s Warehouse 101 Friday the 17th and Saturday the 18th!

Whiskey River Ranch has live music this weekend starting at 9pm both nights,with a country/southern rock group from Washington Dakota Poorman Band on Friday Oct. 17th

On Saturday the 18th come join in on the game day fun (GO DUCKS!)with the game being shown on a 12ft. screen, then stick around after the game for live music and dancing to everything from honky tonk and country music to rock and roll by local band  Jimmy Bobby.

Friday the 17th, Bugsys in Juction City is party rock with The Valley Boys

This weekend at The Black Forest on Friday the 17th is indie pop with Alex and the XO’s, the Shifts and Edewaard starting at 9pm.

On Sat. the 18th is live rockin Blues with Hank Shreve at the Dexter Lake Club.

Just a reminder also that theres the Lone Pine farms haunted corn maze and the Cottage Grove Severed Armory if your looking for some Scary Halloween fun.
