Voters to Decide Future of Vehicle Fee

lane county board of commissionersEUGENE, Ore. — The Lane County Board of Commissioners voted Tuesday to put a vehicle registration fee on the May ballot.

The board unanimously voted in favor of putting the fee on the ballot Tuesday.

Some community members came to the meeting, urging the commission to think about low-income residents before putting this on the ballot.

Some of them said the $35 a year fee would have a major impact on their lives.
