Candlelight Vigil for Dave Frohnmayer

Dave FrohnmayerEUGENE, Ore. — The University of Oregon is inviting the public to honor Dave Frohnmayer Monday night.

The former University of Oregon president died last Monday from prostate cancer. He was 74 years old.

The UO Board of Trustees is holding a candlelight vigil March 16 at 5 p.m. on the steps of Johnson Hall.

Students, staff, and community members are encouraged to attend.

A public celebration of life is planned for Saturday, March 21 at 2 p.m. at Matthew Knight Arena.
