Police Arrest Man for Stealing Car

Eugene Police DepartmentEUGENE, Ore. — One man is in jail after police say he stole a car and tried to run from police.

Eugene police say around 12:45 p.m. Monday, they located a vehicle that was reported stolen.

They say the Hyundai sedan was traveling eastbound on West 11th Avenue when it turned onto Obie Street, a dead end. That’s when 42-year-old Robert Ruddy fled on foot.

Officers found him near Fifth Avenue and Bailey Hill Road.

He is facing multiple charges.
