Photos: Softball Oregon vs. ASU Games 1 & 3

Games 1 and 3 against Arizona State were very entertaining.  Oregon has a very good softball team as indicated by their ranking which was number two as of game time.  Cheridan Hawkins is a great pitcher.  She really hums the ball over the plate.  As a rule, the Oregon bats come to life more often than not.  It’s always fun watching girls hit grand slam home runs…or any home run.  Oregon has a nack for getting on base either through hits, walks, or being hit by a pitched ball.  Once they are on base, watch out because they have very good base runners and tend to steal a number of bases each game.  This is my first year shooting softball so I’m becoming a little more comfortable moving around the field.  The fans have been great.  It sometimes gets a little bit rowdy but that’s softball.  I’ve noticed the girls of the opposing line up along the rain of their dugout and are constantly trying to distract the Oregon pitcher.  Shooting Oregon softball has been a fun experience.  I look forward to shooting the remaining games at Howe field.  The weather was perfect for both games I attended.  I missed Saturday’s game because I was shooting the Pepsi Invitational track meet.  Check out the photos posted below – hope people enjoy looking at them.

Until next game…
