in Headline Feed by

EUGENE, Ore. — Lane Fire Authority responded to a fire at a mobile home near Fern Ridge Reservoir.

Around 12:28 a.m. Thursday, firefighters were called to the fire at a mobile home at 26655 Pickens Road.

When they arrived, they found a “park model” house trailer engulfed in flames.

Firefighters stopped the fire from spreading to the adjacent shop/residence building before extinguishing the fire.

Fire Chief Terry Ney said the trailer was home to two people, and two more people lived in the adjacent residence. No one was hurt. He said the trailer and its contents were a total loss.

Chief Ney said the fire marshal has completed the investigation, and traced the cause of the fire to the electrical inverter that powered the 12 volt circuits from the 120 volt shore power.
