Don’t let the name put you off, Green Crack is a high quality cannabis sativa strain. It was originally bred in Athens, GA in the 1970s with the birth name of Cush. It was later renamed “Green Crack” by none other than Snoop Dogg because of its extreme potency and the crave to keep smoking it. Green Crack is extremely popular in Southern California with both medical marijuana patients for its strong sativa effects, and recreational users who love it’s sweet taste and happy high.

Green Crack has a medium-green color punctuated with orange and bluish hairs. It has a tangy, fruity smell (thus the nickname “Mango”) and the taste is sweet as well. There are two strains of Green Crack: one that is almost pure Sativa and one that is 75% Indica. The better known phenom is the sativa dominant strain, and the only sign of indica genetics being present are the tight nugs.

As expected, Green Crack grows somewhat tall because of its sativa genetics. Those who cultivate this strain will find it to be a quick grower, unlike most sativas, and can be harvested in October, or after 42-49 days of flowering indoors. Make sure to take the time to properly cure the harvested buds in order to preserve the smell and flavor.

This strain is a very tasty smoke that results in an uplifting, energetic high, but dont let it fool you, as overindulgence may bring on a zoning effect and will make you feel “spacey.” The high is very nice and immediate. Its effects last an hour and a half. Not the longest high but it will be very pleasant. You might experience dry mouth afterwards.  Kind Green Buds

Aroma: light sweet like fruit a little.

Flavor: subtle sweet flavor and a little tropical tasting.

My experience:

5:31 We decide to perform an experiment.  I am going to smoke 1 hit and then go out shopping (don’t worry I won’t be driving).

Here we go…Tastes like pot, doing good so far.  Wow!  really good and smooth, a little bit sweet, I taste coconut. 30 seconds in now.  Completely baked.  I am already not sure how this will end up but it wasn’t my idea so… I should probably have this on the recorder.

Now I am laughing watching TV- That guy is so type cast he can’t change his, his one way.

Started talking about this girl I know that directed a movie he was in and sidetrack into a story:

ME:  When I was growing up I had a horse and I felt like people only became friends with me because I had one.  They were jealous of me and thought my life was perfect.  I always thought my life was the worst and always wished I was in their families.  Either way I remained a loner and didn’t fall for the fakey friend BS.

ME:  I lived with my Mom and Step Father.  I hated him but I love my sister so much.  She is sweet and has a good soul.  She has a tough side but is still so sweet. I don’t know what I would do without her. PIC: You are becoming sweet too.  ME:  I am not becoming sweet.   I mean, I am a lunatic half the time. If you are willing to do this with me then hang on.  I have not wanted to do this again ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever!!!! You made me believe again.  (This is starting to sound like the hallmark channel Yuck!)

And yes you are correct!  I never made it out of the house.

lets stay home
Let’s Stay Home

Overall impression:  I like it.  Upbeat and positive, nice for philosophical conversations.  Does make you see squirrels and shiny objects and hard to remember what you were just doing.   Give it a 4.0.

Relationship Status:  I am intrigued.  We will keep on dating and unpeeling the layers as we get to know each other.  Good Friends for sure I can talk about anything and always have fun.  This one may be a keeper.

I am an empty nest, business professional, and until this year, a non-pot-smoker that decided it was time to find out what all the excitement was about. Thanks for joining my adventure!
