Dee Anderson

I received my first guitar when I was 10 years old and that started me on a journey of discovering all types of music. Performing in a rock band in my teen years, studying classical music as a vocal major in college, finding jazz, musical theater and opera as a young adult, guitar was still my first love. Learning technical aspects of sound and lighting, most recently in Las Vegas, I have had the privilege of working on many shows with many very talented performers giving me a unique perspective on all types of genres. Music is life.

EVIE LADIN AT SAM BONDS MAY 25TH

The neo-trad-kinetic-folk of her Evie Ladin Band is a mingling of the deep Appalachian sound of clawhammer banjo, guitar, bass and percussive dance, with contemporary storytelling and original, conversational interplay among the band members; partly influenced by living in New York, Baltimore – in cities, not mountains, with hip hop on the radio; and her attraction to the African and African-American elements of Appalachian music.

She’s based in San Francisco but is gearing up for lots of touring in support of the new record.
