LTD Enhances Routes to Prepare for Local Festivities

EUGENE, Ore. – Lane Transit District will be enhancing its Emerald Express routes to aid spectators during the Olympic Trials, Butte to Butte and the Oregon Country Fair.

The EmX will run twice as frequently between the Eugene and Springfield stations starting July 1st to aid with congestion caused by the local events. With thousands heading to Hayward Field, parking near the meet will be tough but shuttles are available. Free shuttles from South Eugene High School and Park & Ride at Autzen Stadium will leave every 15 minutes. Visitors are also encouraged to use the other Park & Ride locations throughout LTD’s bus routes.

Regular bus routes will stay on their normal schedules, including the Airport Connector.

Tickets and credentials to the Olympic Trials will serve as fare. On July 4th fare will be free, courtesy of Butte to Butte, and Oregon Country Fair will cover the cost from the 8th to the 10th.
