Fire Burns 10 Acres in Lebanon

LEBANON, Ore. — A small grass fire burned 10 acres of land in Lebanon Thursday afternoon.

The fire was caused by a trailer that broke loose from a pickup truck on Highway 34.

It spread from a ditch to a cut rye grass field, where gusty winds quickly fueled the blaze and pushed it toward a nearby home.

Firefighters were able to stop the fire before it reached the house and then spent two hours mopping up hot spots.

No one was hurt.
