Two Men Facing Charges After Allegedly Breaking Into Home

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Two men are behind bars after allegedly breaking into a home in Springfield on Sunday.

Springfield Police responded to a report of a residential burglary in progress on the 600 block of 12th Street around 2:30 p.m.

They said two neighbors noticed men wearing masks break into a house, leave with backpacks and then return shortly after. Daniel Cordua and Timothy Wood ran as officers surrounded the area, but both were taken into custody and booked at the Lane County Jail.

Officers along with Detectives of the Springfield Police department located the stolen property. The men are charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and possession of a burglary tool. According to police, Wood is linked to at least one additonal residential burglary. The investigation is ongoing.
