SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Dozens of local teens took preemptive measures by getting their hearts screened and blood pressure checked on Saturday.
The cardiology team at Riverbend Hospital provided free 15 minute heart screenings.
At the event, teens also got their height and weight checked and learned how to perform CPR.
Doctors said screenings are important because healthy looking kids may have hidden health problems.
This is the third free screening hosted by Peace Health in the last two years.
