SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Family and friends said their final goodbyes to a Thurston boy at his funeral this afternoon.
Nine year old Brayden Zeisler was killed last friday after a tree fell on him.
Dozens of Brayden’s family and friends filled the Church of God in Springfield on Saturday.
The Pastor shared the family’s favorite memoiries and highlighted his unique characteristics, his love of Star Wars and the outdoors.
First responders from the Lowell Fire Department attended the funeral.
In the hallways of the church were some of Brayden’s favorite things, notes from teachers, and photo collages and notes made by families.
After the funeral, the family is holding a celebration of life for Brayden at Lively Swim Park.
It goes from 5:30 to 8:30 and is open to the public.
