Roads Reopen for Holiday Weekend

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Road construction is being put on hold for Labor Day weekend.

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) said there will be no delays for those heading to the coast or coming over Highway 126. In addition, the paving project between Veneta and Noti is taking the weekend off. ODOT said work will resume on Tuesday.

The only scheduled closure is the US 20 Sheep Creek Bridge project, 26 miles east of Sweet Home.

The department said travelers should take Highway 126 through Springfield, or travel north to OR 226 from Lebanon.
