MOORE PARK IS LOCATED ON THE SOUTHERN END OF UPPER KLAMATH LAKE IN KLAMATH COUNTY. UNTIL THE ADVISORY IS LIFTED PEOPLE SHOULD AVOID SWIMMING AND HIGH-SPEED WATER ACTIVITIES, SUCH AS WATER SKIING OR POWER BOATING, IN AREAS OF THE LAKE WHERE BLOOMS ARE IDENTIFIED. ALTHOUGH TOXINS ARE NOT ABSORBED THROUGH THE SKIN, PEOPLE WITH SKIN SENSITIVITIES MAY EXPERIENCE A PUFFY RED RASH. VISITING ODELL LAKE IS SAFE AS LONG AS ANY BOATING OR OTHER ACTIVITIES DO NOT CAUSE EXCESSIVE WATER SPRAY WHICH COULD LEAD TO INHALATION RISKS IF THERE IS EXCESSIVE WATER SPRAY. THE OREGON HEALTH AUTHORITY HAS ISSUED A PUBLIC HEALTH ADVISORY FOR HIGHER-THAN-NORMAL LEVELS OF BACTERIA IN OCEAN WATERS AT SUNSET BAY STATE PARK IN COOS COUNTY. PEOPLE SHOULD AVOID DIRECT CONTACT WITH WATER IN THIS AREA UNTIL THE ADVISORY IS LIFTED. HIGHER-THAN-NORMAL LEVELS OF FECAL BACTERIA CAN CAUSE DIARRHEA, STOMACH CRAMPS, SKIN RASHES, UPPER RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS AND OTHER ILLNESSES. THIS APPLIES ESPECIALLY TO CHILDREN AND THE ELDERLY, WHO MAY BE MORE VULNERABLE TO ILLNESSES FROM WATERBORNE BACTERIA. Weather Pattern

An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with arrows) is going to allow us to slowly heat up once again. The graphics for days 1-3 show a new frontal system headed through Oregon Friday. The graphics for days 3-7 Sunday through next Thursday show a cold front moving through the Pacific Northwest Wednesday and another approaching next Thursday.
Note: Friday is Halloween (Follow the safe distancing guidelines & wear a face covering, not just a Halloween mask) and don’t forget to change to Pacific Standard Time officially at 2:00 am Sunday. At Bedtime Saturday night turn your clocks back one hour (Fall Back). Also the authorities suggest that you check your smoke alarms, Carbon Monoxide detector, and Radon detector to make sure they are working and replace batteries as necessary.

It's said the budget of Peninsula is roughly $16 million, which is double what the original cost to produce.
