Come ride, roll, or walk to celebrate the new I-5/Beltline multi-use path!
Join ODOT, the cities of Eugene and Springfield, Lane Transit District, and other partners to officially open a new connection to North Eugene and add one more mile to Eugene’s 46 miles of off-street paths. The event will be held at the north end of the path, off of Old Coburg Road.
A Kidical Mass bike ride to the ribbon cutting will leave from Fairmount City Park at 10 a.m.
Transportation-related safety gear to help people enjoy the new path will be given out by City of Eugene and Point2Point transportation staff.
The new extension of the path links North Garden Way, just north of I-105, to Old Coburg Road, east of the Eugene Register-Guard and Veterans Affairs Eugene Healthcare Center off of Chad Drive. Users may also access the path via the pedestrian bridge from Springfield at Gateway Mall, or from Willakenzie Drive and Harlow Road.
