UNTIL THE ADVISORY IS LIFTED PEOPLE SHOULD AVOID SWIMMING AND HIGH-SPEED WATER ACTIVITIES, SUCH AS WATER SKIING OR POWER BOATING, IN AREAS OF THE LAKE WHERE BLOOMS ARE IDENTIFIED. ALTHOUGH TOXINS ARE NOT ABSORBED THROUGH THE SKIN, PEOPLE WITH SKIN SENSITIVITIES MAY EXPERIENCE A PUFFY RED RASH. Weather Pattern

An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with arrows) returns the warmer weather to start your workweek. An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (Shaded “U” shape with arrows) moves in to cool us down Tuesday. The graphics for days 1-3 show a frontal system to our northwest today moving through Tuesday. The graphics for days 3-7 Thursday through next Monday show the cold front past us Wednesday. A frontal system will be to the northwest next Monday.
Note: The Perseid Meteor Shower peaks from August 11th through the 13th, that’s Tuesday through Thursday. Find a very dark location away from city lights and look to the North. Best viewing time is just before dawn, but you can start looking anytime after midnight. We’re just coming off of the full moon so it will be a bit more difficult to view the shower.
