Ducks’ 2013 Football Schedule Released

The Oregon Ducks’ 2013 regular season docket was determined Thursday morning as the Pac-12 released schedules for next season.
Most notably, Oregon will visit Stanford on November 7, a Thursday night game to be televised on ESPN. Stanford beat Oregon 17-14 this past November to deny the Ducks a shot at the BCS National Championship game.

Chip Kelly Reportedly to Stay at Oregon

After meeting with the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles following Oregon’s 35-17 victory over Kansas State in the 2013 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, Chip Kelly has decided to remain as the Ducks’ head coach, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

As the clock wound down in the fourth quarter at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, University of Oregon fans in attendance at the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl united in a chant: “We love Chip!”

There are parallels to be drawn between the two coaches that will have brought their teams to Phoenix. Both prefer physical, contact-heavy practices. Both emphasized the importance of special teams play. Both have faced scrutiny from the iron-fisted NCAA. Thursday, the talk will halt – if only for a few hours. Finally, after nearly a month of build-up, there will be football for Kelly’s and Snyder’s teams.
