Alabama’s convincing Iron Bowl victory on Saturday was enough to earn the nod over Florida State in this week’s AP Top 25 poll. Undefeated Florida State (12-0) garnered 29 first place votes to Alabama’s 25, but the Crimson Tide edged out the top spot by a three-point margin. The Oregon men’s basketball team (18-2, 7-0) has risen all the way to No. 10 in the latest AP top 25 poll. Following wins against the Washington schools last week, the Ducks have started 7-0 in conference play for the first time in school history.

At 9-1, the University of Oregon Ducks are atop the ‘others receiving votes’ category for the second straight week, barely missing being ranked in the latest AP poll. Many are surprised they didn’t jump into the polls this week.
