WATER MONITORING HAS CONFIRMED THE PRESENCE OF CYANOBACTERIA AND THE TOXINS THEY PRODUCE IN THE METOLIUS, DESCHUTES, AND CROCKED RIVER ARMS OF LAKE BILLY CHINOOK. THE CYNOTOXIN CONCENTRATIONS FOUND CAN BE HARMFUL TO HUMANS AND ANIMALS. An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (Shaded “U” shape with arrows) swings slowly eastward to our north for cooling, but after it passes we’ll warm up again as an upper level High Pressure moves in. Directed by Robert Zemeckis, the film is based on the true story of Mark Hogancamp (Steve Carell), an artist whose memory is ravaged after he's nearly beaten to death. As a form of therapy, Mark creates a replica of a tiny Belgian village and populates it with the people in his life. This is certainly a sappy trailer, but I've been continually impressed with Carell's dramatic work and Zemeckis has always been a reliable filmmaker. ‘A Simple Favor’ Trailer

The first official trailer for A Simple Favor has been released. Anna Kendrick stars as Stephanie, a blogger who befriends the mysterious Emily (Blake Lively) through their children. But when Emily disappears, Stephanie attempts to solve not only Emily's whereabouts, but her very secretive life. Paul Feig directs and it looks like a great change-of-pace for a director normally associated with comedies (Bridesmaids, The Heat, Spy). A Simple Favor opens September 14.No Current Trailer

Amazon Studios has released the first trailer for Beautiful Boy. Based on the memoirs by David and Nic Sheff, the film tackles the subject of addiction through the eyes of Nic (Steve Carell) and his son, David (Timothee Chalamet). David has struggled with a meth addiction for many years and Nic feels helpless in getting him better. Fresh off of his star-making turn in Call Me By Your Name, Chalamet looks captivating once again while Carell continues to choose interesting dramatic work following his Office days. I have not been impressed by either trailer that has been released, but with Shane Black writing and directing, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. The first trailer for Creed II has been released. Adonis Creed has risen up the ranks in the world of boxing. But can he handle that success? On top of that, a new fighter with ties to his father emerges forcing him to focus on family even more. The absence of Ryan Coogler behind the camera is a concern, but the trailer looks to continue that great balance of grittiness, heart and emotion. Michael B. Joran, Sylvester Stallone and Tessa Thompson all return in what looks like a worthy entry in the Rocky and Creed franchise. Creed II opens November 21.No Current Trailer

Netflix has released the first trailer for Like Father. Written, produced and directed by Lauren Miller Rogen, the film follows Kristen Bell as a workaholic who's left at the altar. To ease the pain, she goes on a drunken bender with her estranged father (Kelsey Grammer) and they unwillingly end up on the cruise she had booked for her honeymoon. This looks like an impressive debut for Rogen and it's great to see Grammer in something other than a Transformers movie again. Like Father debuts on Netflix on August 3.No Current Trailer

‘Dumbo’ Teaser Trailer

Disney has released the first teaser trailer for Dumbo. The latest live-action remake of an animated classic, Dumbo follows a baby elephant who is cast out because of its enormous ears. But when it's discovered that the elephant can fly, Dumbo becomes an instant attraction. I'm not a huge fan of Tim Burton, but he's certainly put his signature visual stamp on this movie. Plus, he's reuniting with Danny DeVito and Michael Keaton. Dumbo opens March 29, 2019.No Current Trailer

‘Halloween’ Trailer

Universal has released the first trailer for Halloween. The film takes place 40 years after the original and finds Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) preparing for that inevitable day when Michael Myers returns. The film ignores the countless sequels and acts as a true sequel to the original. I love the grainy old-school look of the film and having David Gordon Green behind the camera with Danny McBride co-writing the script are inspired choices. ‘A Star is Born’ Trailer

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for A Star is Born. Directed by and starring Bradley Cooper, the film follows Cooper as a musician who sees something in a bright and shiny star, Lady Gaga, and takes her under his wing. Once she begins to have success however, he begins to resent her thus straining their relationship. This is Cooper's directorial debut and he appears to have crafted a terrific drama with Gaga more than holding her own in her debut as an actress. A Star is Born opens October 5.No Current Trailer

‘Bumblebee’ Trailer

Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for Bumblebee. The first spinoff in the Transformers franchise, Bumblebee takes place in the '80s and acts as sort of an origins story for our favorite Volkswagen Beatle. This trailer is already better than Transformers 2-5. It's more in line with the first Transformers which was about "a boy and his car." Swap out Shia for the uber talented Hailee Steinfeld and you have what looks like a wonderfully small story set against a much bigger universe. Bumblebee opens Christmas Day.No Current Trailer

20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for Widows. Steve McQueen's highly-anticipated follow up to 12 Years a Slave, Widows follows four women who must pull off a heist to repay a debt brought on by their deceased husbands. McQueen has never ventured into the thriller genre before, but this looks captivating and well acted. Widows opens November 16.No Current Trailer

‘Skyscraper’ Trailer #2

Universal has released the second trailer for Skyscraper. Dwayne Johnson stars as a former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader who now assesses security for skyscrapers. While assessing a newly constructed building in China, the place catches on fire with him as the main suspect. Now he must save his family and clear his name. This looks like a fairly enjoyable summer action movie. But a lot of it seems to rely too much on CGI. Hopefully the finished project looks a little more realistic. ‘Papillon’ Trailer

The first trailer for Papillon has been released. This is a remake of the 1973 film of the same name and stars Charlie Hunnam in the titular role as a man sent to a French prison for murder. While inside, he plots his escape with a fellow inmate played by Rami Malek. I didn't think much of Hunnam as an actor until last year when he was superb in both King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and The Lost City of Z. This looks like another terrific project for the young actor. Plus, I'm a sucker for prison escape movies. Papillon opens August 24.No Current Trailer

‘Mowgli’ Trailer

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for Mowgli. Andy Serkis directs this adaptation of the The Jungle Book about a young boy raised by animals who struggles to integrate with humans. This is the "other" Jungle Book movie that was being filmed a couple of years ago. The other one, The Jungle Book, was a giant success for Disney and obviously more family friendly. Serkis's version appears to be a bit darker. It will be interesting to see if audiences are willing to sit through a second adaptation. Mowgli opens October 19.No Current Trailer
