With a six day forecast like the one we currently have in the South Willamette Valley, there’s no better place to be than at the wineries, soaking in the warmth and rays. If you need me, I’ll be at one of the following wineries, glass in hand.
Having just returned from a long weekend trip up to Salem and Portland, reflecting on the past few days, which were filled with adventures in food and wine, has me yearning to return for more – it was an incredible getaway.
Last month, I had the opportunity to join several other Pacific Northwest based wine writers at the beautiful Youngberg Hill Vineyards and Inn for a spectacular 5 year vertical of the Youngberg Hill Jordan Block Pinot Noir.
“Fire up that grill, honey!” I’ve said those exact words on numerous occasions since the clouds have dispersed and the sun has been shining down on the Willamette Valley; indeed, I love to cook in the great outdoors – one of the many reasons why I love summer.
