UMATILLA — Oregon State Police cited an 18-year-old Irrigon resident for driving under the influence of intoxicants Monday, April 10, after a crash near Umatilla that ruptured the fuel tank of a semitrailer.

OSP reported it responded to a report of a collision at 12:20 a.m. between a Toyota Yaris and a semitrailer hauling doubles on Highway 730 near milepost 179, Umatilla . According to state police, the driver of the Toyota was speeding and passing the semi when he lost control and sideswiped the semi, rupturing its fuel tank.
