Eugene SWAT End Early Morning Standoff

EUGENE– A man barricaded himself inside a Eugene apartment early Wednesday morning after police attempted to arrest him on an outstanding warrant. The man, whose name has not yet been released, refused to exit the apartment near the 200 block of Country Club road, and SWAT were forced to use tear gas to get him out. He is now lodged at the Lane County Jail.

The standoff lasted two hours and ended around 4 am. Officers said there was also a woman and a dog in the residence.

Weather Pattern

An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (Shaded “U” shape with arrows) takes over returning the chance for rain. The graphics for days 1-3 show a frontal system moving through the Pacific Northwest Friday. The graphics for days 3-7 Monday through next Friday show the disturbance that will be affecting the Pacific Northwest Tuesday and Wednesday.
