Charter school bill defeated in Oregon House
The measure that failed by four votes Monday would have removed some barriers to new charter schools and allowed charter seekers to get around opposition from local school boards in some cases. – What do you think about this? – ed.
Crews truck water 2 miles from river to battle mill fire
A lack of water Sunday night forced firefighters to truck it in from the Willamette River two miles away from the fire at Jasper Wood Products.
Arson ruled out in River Ave fire.
Fire investigators may never know the cause of a blaze last week on River Avenue that destroyed three businesses.
Oregon woman assaulted while jogging.
Police in Corvallis are looking for two young men suspected of assaulting a 19-year-old woman while she was jogging.
