Friday – Night On The Town

Its officially on.  Earth Day kicks off a weekend of celebrations of all types.  Here are our picks on where to start the fun:

Moonshine & Speakeasy: The ToughCats – Axe & Fiddle (Cottage Grove), 8:30pm – $5 cover.  Conjugal Visitors with a decidedly 30’s speakeasy style.  Drink your hooch from a mason jar and kick your heels up.

FUNDRAISER: Brooks Robertson – Cosmic Pizza, 7pm – $5.  Nokie Edwards says “He is slicker than a cat on a greased pole.” This fingerpicking protege’ will entertain and delight.  Besides, its a fundraiser..for Womenspace no less….get your guilt out, start your pennance, and be glad its Brooks playing so at least you can enjoy yourself while you support a worthy cause.

Earth Day Special Queen of the Sun – Bijou Art Cinemas, 492 E. 13th Ave. Follow it up with a glass of your favorite beverage over at 16 tons, cap it off with something decadent over at Sweet Life Patisserie….ok, not very Earth Day once the movie gets over – we’ll try harder next year.

The only Earth Day starter.
