Wine Down Eugene

Julia Crowley’s Wine Down Eugene – October 19-25

Fall is upon us, and it’s one of the most spectacular times of the year to head out to wine country and take-in the colorful foliage while enjoying the superb wines of the South Willamette Valley. One of my favorite wineries to visit this time of year is Sweet Cheeks Winery, where I can sit fireside and enjoy a glass of their luscious, velvety 2008 Vintage Pinot Noir while overlooking the Briggs Hill Valley. Sweet Cheeks is open daily from 12-6p, except for special events like their Friday night Twilight Tastings where you can enjoy wine tasting paired with Oregon-made artisan cheeses and live music from 6-9p. This Saturday, celebrate the end of harvest at their annual Masquerade Ball. Enjoy this famed event in costume which includes light appetizers and dancing for $12 p/p.
