Oregon Ducks women’s golfer Cassy Isagawa has been honored as Golfweek Player of the Week, as announced by the publication. The junior Eugene native earned the national recognition for her efforts at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational.
The two-time All-Pac-12 honoree’s 54-hole tally of 207 is tied for second-best in program history with Kendra Little, who shot an identical 12-under 207 at this tournament in 2009. She finished the tournament with a remarkable 16 birdies.
The Ducks, led by Isagawa, finished second in the 16-team field. The Ducks finished at 1-over par on the tournament (877) with rounds of 299 (+7), 286 (-6) and 292 (E).
Isagawa and the Oregon Ducks will return to play on October 8th with the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in Sammamish, Washington at the Sahalee Country Club.
