Oregon football recruiting: Duck commits nab All-America honors, shine in playoffs

Royce Freeman concluded his phenomenal high school career with a San Diego section record 7606 yards as the Imperial Valley fell 56-12 in the semi-finals to powerhouse St. Augustine. Freeman had 20 carries for 168 yards in the loss as Tigers finished 11-1.

He told reporter Jonathan Dale of the Imperial Valley Press, “This is the best season we ever had as a team. It’s the best team we’ve ever had and I’m just very proud.”

Royce rolls: Army All-American and Oregon commit Royce Freeman led the Imperial Valley Tigers to a best-ever 11-1 record, pounding opponents for over 7600 yards and 111 touchdowns in his high school career, 11.79 yards a carry.
